Es
handelt sich um einen privaten Herausgeber, der Ende 2010
eine Serie grossformatiger Strassenkarten veröffentlicht
hat, der ganz Chile mit 9 Titeln abdeckt. Sie sind beidseitig
auf Polyart gedruckt, ein reiss- und wasserfestes, nicht
reflektierendes Material. Der Massstab 1:400.000 (1 cm =
4 km) erlaubt es, Strassen mit ausreichendem Detailgehalt
darzustellen. Die Compass-Karten haben keine Höhenlinien,
eine sehr realistische Reliefdarstellung erleichtert aber,
sich die Landschaft plastisch vorzustellen. Verschiedene
Symbole geben die Sehenswürdigkeiten an. Eine grosse
Hilfe ist ein kompleter Index, mit dem auch kleine Ortschaften
leicht zu finden sind.

Ende 2013 begann Compass eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem chilenischen
Treibstoffhersteller Copec und erstellte eine neue Auflage,
die unter dem Namen Chiletur Copec/Compass verkauft wird.
Seither werden die Copec-Filialen deutlich hervorgehoben,
andere Tankstellen sind aber weiterhin erkenntlich.
Neben den erwähnten Strassenkarten sind auch Karten
von ganz Chile und auch Weltkarten erhältlich.
