This route is operated by Somarco. The
trip is subdivided into two legs: From Hornopirén we sail for 3 1/2 hours through the Comao fjord to
Leptepu. Then, after driving
10 kilometers on a gravel road to Fiordo Largo, starts the second ferry crossing the Reñihue fjord to Caleta
Gonzalo.
This trip is also known as the "Ruta bi-modal". The departures of both ferries are coordinated and it is sold as one entire trip.
There are 3 daily services (it may be less in winter).
Usually, there is space for passengers until shortly before the departure. However, if travelling by car, it is important to make the booking ahead, especially during the summer holidays.
